Privacy Policy

Last Updated: July 14, 2026

1. Introduction

Quantum Sphere LLC, doing business as FluentSphere ("FluentSphere," "we," "us," or "our"), is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard information when you use our mobile and web platforms. By accessing or using our services, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

Email Addresses:

We may collect your email address if you voluntarily provide it through our submission forms. This information is used solely to communicate with you regarding your inquiry or the services you request.

Account Information (Mobile App):

When you create a FluentSphere account through our mobile app, we collect your name and email address to set up and manage your account, authenticate you, and communicate with you about the Service.

Voice and Audio Data:

Our mobile app's speaking practice and live conversation features record your voice and process the audio you provide. We use this audio to score your pronunciation, transcribe your speech, and power real-time AI conversation practice. Audio recordings and the transcripts generated from them may be sent to and processed by the third-party speech and AI providers described in Section 5 ("Data Sharing and Disclosure") to deliver these features. Declining to use voice-based features will limit your access to speaking practice and live conversation functionality.

Device Identifier:

On iOS, we use Apple's DeviceCheck to generate a device identifier that helps us secure your account, prevent fraud and abuse (such as free-trial abuse), and verify that requests to our servers come from a genuine installation of our app. DeviceCheck data is processed by Apple in accordance with Apple's Privacy Policy.

Analytics Data:

We use Google Analytics and Ahrefs Analytics to gather anonymous data about how users interact with our mobile and web platforms. This data, which may include information such as your device type and general location, helps us improve the performance and user experience of our services. We do not combine this data with any personally identifiable information unless you choose to provide that information to us.

Product Experimentation and Session Replay:

We use Statsig to run A/B tests (showing different versions of a page to different visitors) and to record anonymized session replays of how visitors interact with our website — such as page views, clicks, and scrolling. Session replay data is associated with a randomly generated identifier stored in your browser, not with your name or email address. We use this information to understand how our website is used and to improve it.

Advertising Data:

We use the Reddit advertising pixel to measure the effectiveness of our advertising on Reddit (for example, whether a visitor who clicked a Reddit ad later signed up). Reddit may receive information about your visit, such as pages viewed and actions taken, in accordance with Reddit's Privacy Policy.

Email Signup Forms:

Our newsletter and waitlist forms are provided by MailerLite. When you submit your email address through one of these forms, it is collected and stored by MailerLite on our behalf in accordance with MailerLite's Privacy Policy.

3. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies for the following purposes:

  • Google Analytics: We use Google Analytics cookies to help us understand user behavior on our platforms.
  • Statsig: Statsig stores a randomly generated identifier in your browser's local storage so that you see a consistent version of the site during A/B tests.
  • Reddit Pixel: The Reddit pixel may set cookies to attribute visits and signups to Reddit advertising campaigns.
  • reCAPTCHA (_GRECAPTCHA): This cookie is set by Google reCAPTCHA and is necessary for its operation. It is used for risk analysis and to distinguish humans from automated bots.

4. Bot Protection Services

Google reCAPTCHA

We use Google reCAPTCHA v3 on our login, signup, and free assessment forms to protect against bots and automated abuse. reCAPTCHA v3 is invisible — it runs in the background and scores user interactions without presenting a challenge.

reCAPTCHA collects hardware and software information from your device and browser to generate a risk score. This may include:

  • IP address
  • Browser type and settings
  • Cookies (specifically the _GRECAPTCHA cookie)
  • Mouse movements and touch events
  • Device screen size and resolution
  • Browser plugins
  • JavaScript objects and page interaction patterns

This data is used solely to determine whether the visitor is a human or a bot. It is transmitted to Google, which processes it on our behalf as a data processor to provide the reCAPTCHA service. Google does not use this data for advertising or other purposes outside of providing reCAPTCHA.

As of April 2, 2026, reCAPTCHA data processing is governed by the Google Cloud Service Terms and the Google Cloud Data Processing Addendum.

Cloudflare Turnstile

As an alternative to reCAPTCHA, we may use Cloudflare Turnstile on certain forms to verify that visitors are human. Turnstile runs non-interactive challenges in the background without displaying a visual puzzle. It may collect device and browser information similar to reCAPTCHA for the purpose of bot detection. This data is processed by Cloudflare on our behalf in accordance with Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.

Legal Basis

The legal basis for processing data through these bot protection services is our legitimate interest in protecting our platform from bots and abuse (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)), or as necessary for the performance of the service.

5. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We share data with the following third-party service providers, who process it on our behalf:

  • Google (Gemini AI): Voice/audio and conversation data captured during live AI conversation practice is sent to Google's Gemini API to generate real-time conversational responses. Google processes this data on our behalf in accordance with Google's Cloud Data Processing Addendum.
  • Microsoft Azure Speech Services: Audio you record in the app is sent to Microsoft Azure Speech Services for speech-to-text transcription, processed on our behalf under Microsoft's privacy terms.
  • ElevenLabs: Text generated during your lessons and conversations may be sent to ElevenLabs to generate spoken audio responses (text-to-speech), processed on our behalf under ElevenLabs' Privacy Policy.
  • SpeechAce: Audio recordings of your speech may be sent to SpeechAce to generate pronunciation scoring and feedback, processed on our behalf under SpeechAce's Privacy Policy.
  • Apple: If you purchase a subscription through our iOS app, your purchase is processed by Apple, and your device identifier may be verified using Apple's DeviceCheck service. We do not receive or store your full payment card information. See Section 6 ("Subscriptions and In-App Purchases") below.
  • Google Analytics: Anonymous usage data for analytical purposes, not linked to any personal data you provide.
  • Statsig: Anonymous A/B testing, analytics, and session replay data, associated with a random identifier rather than your identity.
  • MailerLite: Email addresses you submit through our signup forms, used to deliver the emails you request.
  • Reddit: Ad-attribution data collected by the Reddit pixel, where applicable.
  • Ahrefs: Anonymous, cookieless website analytics.
  • Google reCAPTCHA: Device and interaction data for bot detection, processed by Google as a data processor.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile: Device and browser data for bot detection, where applicable.

6. Subscriptions and In-App Purchases

FluentSphere offers auto-renewing subscription plans available for purchase through Apple's In-App Purchase system on iOS. All subscription purchases, billing, and renewals for the iOS app are processed by Apple in accordance with the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. We do not receive, process, or store your full payment card or billing details — Apple manages your payment method and shares with us only limited purchase and subscription-status information needed to provide you access to the Service. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; you can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple ID account settings.

7. Data Security

We implement reasonable security measures to protect the information we collect from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

8. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your personal information, including account information and voice/audio data, for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Audio recordings used for pronunciation scoring and live conversation practice are retained only as long as necessary to provide and improve these features.

You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time by using the account deletion option within the FluentSphere app (Settings) or by contacting us at [email protected]. We will delete or anonymize your data within a reasonable time after your request, except where we are required to retain certain information to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.

9. Children's Privacy

FluentSphere is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without verification of parental consent, we will take steps to delete that information. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at [email protected].

10. User Rights

While we do not provide additional user rights beyond those required by law, you may contact us if you have any questions or concerns about your data or this policy.

11. Contact Information

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Your continued use of our services after any modifications signifies your acceptance of the updated policy.

13. Acceptance of These Terms

By using our mobile or web platforms, you acknowledge that you have read and understand this Privacy Policy and agree to its terms.
